New York, NY — CEO and Founder of CarbonCopyPRO, Jay Kubassek lead his team in this years Baja100 race, an off-road race that takes place on Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. Mr. Kubassek, an internet marketing legend and globally recognized entrepreneur, had always been drawn to the thrill and grit of this extreme sport and this year was finally able to get behind the wheel.
CarbonCopyPRO team finished nowhere near first, but no one’s frowning. With an official time of 25:07:26, the team finished 10th. After the first 15 miles, the team’s engine and radios were knocked out when they were rear-ended and forced them to run the rest of race on 2-3 cylinders sans radio. In addition, five hours were lost in pit stops trying to get the radios and engine fixed. But winning is not the point for this driver, its all about the excitement of the ride. “Life’s a journey,” said Kubassek, “the goal is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out and shouting, ‘Holy Sh!$- what a ride!”.
Captaining a four-wheeler in what is arguably one of the world’s most demanding race courses might seem like an incongruous way for a highly successful executive to spend his leisure time but while other CEOs are shining their golf clubs and brightening their white tennis gear, Kubassek is focused on exercising one infamous motto: if you work hard you deserve to play hard.
